I became a Marriage and Family Therapist because I am passionate about families. We experience our first relationships, develop our identity, learn what’s “right and wrong”, and observe conflict management first in our family. Good or bad, these experiences make lasting imprints on us that shape how we see the world, our beliefs about mental health, and how we function in relationships. My goal is to work with individuals, couples, and families to address the impact of family trauma on their ability to maintain healthy relationships. I also support women in working through issues such as postpartum mental health, being an anxious overachiever, parenting, and setting healthy boundaries in relationships.

My approach is client-centered, where I honor the unique experiences that you bring into our sessions and use them to learn more about you. I am trained in Collaborative, Narrative, and Solution-Focused Therapy, which I often use eclectically to fit the unique needs of each client.

My personal experiences have made me a firm believer in that no matter how hard the challenge, we have everything inside of us to overcome it already. As your therapist, I’m here to help you find it, sharpen it, and use it…like I did. That’s right, I had to learn too.

I am a native Houstonian and an overcomer of family trauma. Learning to become the hero of my own story gave me the courage to start a family of my own and inspired me to become a therapist so that I could give the gift of healing to others. I have over 10 years of experience as an educator where I bridged the gap between academics and the social-emotional needs of at-risk teens. I also worked as an Intern at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center where I helped veterans, their partners, and their families resolve a variety of complex issues. I am married and the proud mom of two. I love making candles, watching van life vlogs on YouTube, and bingeing episodes of Bluey while my kids are sleeping. I am a die-hard Texans fan and when I hear music, I can’t keep still! I am a proud graduate of Our Lady of The Lake University, where I earned a Master of Science in Psychology with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy. Being a therapist isn’t just my job, it’s my purpose and I am so excited to work with you!
